Request Our Gardening Services
At Gardening Together, our aim is to participate in a society where everyone’s contribution is recognised and rewarded.
Our gardening program has been specifically designed to provide lawnmowing and basic gardening services to NDIS participants or HCP care recipients while providing employment and training opportunities for individuals on the NDIS. If you’re not on the NDIS or a HCP, don’t worry - we also provide services to individuals and small businesses looking for someone to help out.
Our gardening crew are all NDIS participants themselves. Together with our experienced team leaders, they will help you keep on top of your lawn and those small gardening jobs you aren’t able to tackle yourself.
Because of our diverse crew, we could end up being in your yard for longer than other gardening services. But you don’t need to be concerned - we don’t quote by the hour - we quote for the job. And because our aim is to provide employment rather than to make a profit, you will find our prices are very competitive.
We offer:
lawn mowing and edging to leave your lawn safe, healthy and looking great
weed spraying – whether you have broad-leaf weeds like bindi and clover or grassy weeds like kikuyu or couch, we can treat and remove it for you and allow the plants you love to flourish
garden mulching
leaf sweeping for autumn leaves, or all year round
green waste removal
sweeping and cleaning up paths and steps
FAQ’s
When does the NDIS cover gardening?
If you have a disability that restricts you from gardening on your own, the NDIS can cover your gardening charges. The aim of the NDIS is to ensure your garden is as it would be if you did not have a disability that limited you from doing the work yourself.
Having said that, you may have to pay for any supplies you require such as mulch, seeds or soil as these expenses will not be related to your disability and therefore are not covered by the NDIS.
Can I use my Home Care Package to fund gardening?
The Home Care Package covers light gardening such as weeding, pruning, lawn mowing, minor garden maintenance, and removing debris.
The focus of the Home Care Package is to ensure safety. If what you want done is more than what is necessary for safety – such as planting new colour or mulching your beds – you may need to make a co-payment towards these services.
Want us to mow your lawn?
Fill in the form here to get started. Once we hear from you we will:
Organise a time to come out and quote for the work you need done
If you are happy with the quote, we will give you a service agreement to sign and arrange a time to come and do your first mow.
Once the first mow has been completed to your satisfaction we will issue you with an invoice and set up the next visit.
If you are an NDIS or HCP client, we can arrange for your invoice to go directly to your NDIS plan manager or HCP Provider.
